Rep. Brian Becker (D-19) will be speaking at the Democratic Town Committee meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Avon Middle School. Becker represents Avon, West Hartford and Farmington. He will address the committee about his first 90 days as part of the legislature. The public is welcome to attend.

At 7:30 p.m. the Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to meet in Town Hall, building one in the Selectmen's Chamber. Old Avon Village Associates, LLC has requested an ammendment change to regulations on yard setbacks for outdoor dining, and DaCapo Ristorante is seeking a special exception that would allow outdoor dining at the restaurant.

Owner Lorenzo DiClemente and applicant Melissa Sabo are requesting site plan approval to move their consignment boutique to 282 West Main Street.

The commission has tabled Don Hammerberg Associates' application for site plan approval to modify interior and façade of existing former Blockbuster building twice. Hartford Hospital is looking to build a primary care center on the property. The application for site plan approval is still under review and the commission may vote on it Tuesday night.
