Miller Foods Thanksgiving Tent and Other Weekend Events

Friday, Nov. 18

• Girls soccer plays against RHAM in the semifinals Friday at 4 p.m. in Middletown.

• The Farmington Valley Arts Center is scheduled for Friday night at 6 p.m. at 25 Arts Center Ln. The event is free, but donations are always welecome.

Saturday, Nov. 19

• The grand opening of is  Nov. 19 at 9 a.m. Avon Patch will be serving free coffee until around 11:30 a.m. The tent is open until 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Monday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• jumps back to the '70s Saturday with its annual . Tickets are $75 a person. The event will take place at the Hoffman Honda Showroom at 40 Albany Tpke. in West Simsbury. It runs from 7 to 11 p.m.
