The Silver Alert for Shanequa Lyn-Rock, 16, has been canceled.

An Avon teen reported missing at the end of December has been located.

The Dec. 29 Silver Alert issued for Shanequa-Lyn Rock has been canceled. Avon detectives traced her whereabouts to a specific location in the Burlington Vermont area on Friday, according to a press release from the department.

“We have located where she’s at. We’re just trying to make contact with her," Avon Police Lt. Kelly Walsh told Patch Friday morning. “She’s okay. We’ve made contact with a couple other parties who have talked to her.”

Rock was discovered missing from her Avon home over a month ago early morning on Dec. 29 and had left without her medication, police previously stated. No foul play was involved, according to police.
