Public Hearing for Village Center Zone and More

Five things to know on May 17, 2011.

On Tuesday night, the Planning and Zoning Commission is holding a public hearing at its 7:30 p.m. meeting to review a proposal to create a new village center zone. If the regulation passes, that will make way for a proposal to develop an Avon center. The public is welcome to attend and comment. The meeting is in the Selectman's Conference Room in Town Hall, building one.

A new teen center is looking to come to town. The owners of Blink, an open mic center, are applying for a special permit for an "indoor dance and party/entertainment" business, according to the Planning and Zoning Commission agenda. Commission members will review the application at the meeting as well.
