The Avon Police Department provided us with the following road closures at 6:08 p.m. on Aug. 29, 2011.
Update, Aug. 29, 2011, 10:19 p.m.
- West Avon Road reopened and the traffic lights are working again.
Update, Aug. 29, 2011, 6:07 p.m.
- Tamara Circle reopened.
- West Avon Road is expected to open soon.

Reopened Roads
- New Road has reopened. It was previously closed due to flooding.
- Waterville Road has reopened. It was previously closed due to a downed live wire and a transformer fire Sunday around 2 p.m.

The following roads were closed as of 8:35 p.m.
- Burnham Road at intersections with Cheltenham Road and Charing Cross.
