Which Avon Businesses Are Still Selling Thanksgiving Turkeys?

Thanksgiving is just days away and there are still some places in Avon and the area that you can get your turkey.

You may want to place your order as soon as possible because some businesses, like The Meat House, have reported running out and needing to order more. The Fresh Market, Avon's new grocery store, is taking orders until the end of the business day Tuesday for pick-up by Wednesday. Neither will be open on Thanksgiving Thursday.

Miller Foods in Avon is selling turkeys and Thanksgiving fixings in its Thanks for Giving Thanksgiving Tent Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Miller Foods: 308 Arch Rd., Avon, 860-673-6454. Drop-ins are welcome, but expect to wait longer for your bird to be prepared. Orders can be placed in advance online (http://millerfoodsonline.com) and by phone. They also sell Turkease, which can be stuffed.

• Nov. 20 is the last day you can pre-order a Thanksgiving turkey in-store at The Fresh Market in Avon. You can also call the store at 860-677-0756 to place an order. The grocery store is located in Nod Brook Mall at 321 West Main St.
