MORE THAN JUST A PRETTY SMILE, PROPER PET DENTAL HYGIENE PREVENTS DISEASE

Progressive Animal Wellness (PAW) Offers Discount on Routine Dental Care

February is National Pet Dental Health Month.  When it comes to pets, good oral hygiene is about more than just a pretty smile.  As many as 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over 2 years of age have some form of dental disease and gum disease (gingivitis).  Dental disease affects much more than fresh breath. Plaque and tartar buildup leads to infection which, left untreated, can cause pain, tooth loss, and more serious health problems such as liver, kidney, and heart disease.
