Eighteen years ago, genetically modified ingredients were secretly and illegally infiltrated into the food we eat despite 44,000 pages of documentation provided by FDA scientists questioning the safety of this practice. Since this time, the United States has seen an alarming increase in autism, birth defects, food allergies, and cancer related illness, as well as a significant drop in the fertility rate.
In spite of an overwhelming amount of compelling evidence supporting the labeling of all foods that contain genetically modified ingredients (GMO’s), legislation has yet to pass a bill that would require companies to label foods that contain genetically modified ingredients, thereby allowing consumers to make well informed decisions about the food they choose to eat.
