In celebration of National Hospice Month, McLean Hospice invites the community to a display of Hospice Memorial Remembrance Quilts from former years. The quilts will be on display during the entire month of November in the lobby of the McLean Health Center. On Thursday, November 15th, the newest 2011 Hospice Memorial Remembrance Quilt will be unveiled. The unveiling ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the health center’s lobby, with a reception following in the same location.

The new 2011 Remembrance Quilt consists of handmade quilt squares that have been artistically decorated by surviving family members. The squares represent the unique lives, hobbies, roles and contributions of the deceased loved ones, and the formation of the quilt represents how we, the community, are all part of the fabric of life.

McLean Hospice wishes to thank Canton quilt artist, Dottie Szypulski, who donated her time to sew the squares of the new Remembrance Quilt together. It will be treasured as an ongoing legacy for the families who lost their loved ones in 2011. The Hospice team also thanks Elizabeth Scheidel, a Hospice Volunteer, who contributed her cross stitch talents to incorporate a poem onto the quilt as its centerpiece.

I believe the word you want is "hear", not "here".

Obama is a Marxist who hates America and everything it stands for. He's wants to destroy thisRead More country as much as any Taliban extremist, only with economic disaster (i.e. ObamaCare) instead of bombs and airplanes. But here's the irony...Obama's not the problem. The real problem is that people like you, Liz, will be around long after Obama's term as president is over. If people like you could be duped into voting for someone like Obama twice, it could happen again and again. I pray that this country will wake up soon and realize the horrific mistake that it's made and get this great nation back on a path to freedom and opportunity. If people like you, Liz, continue to prevail, then I pray for my children's future, for it will truly be bleak…
