Community Corner

Living Nativity

From 5 to 7 pm enjoy a guided tour of scenes and vignettes from

the Christmas narrative.  Members of the church are set to act as guides and to portray
characters from the Gospel scenes leading up to the birth of Jesus.   Several of the scenes take place inside the church such as Roman centurions ordering citizens of the Empire to participate in a census, while other scenes take place outdoors with live animals, shepherds, and angels.  After your tour, enjoy hot coco, snacks, and children’s crafts in the church’s Fellowship Hall.  Tours leave from the sanctuary on a continuous basis – just arrive anytime from 5 to 7pm. Bring your family or youth group. No worries if   you are a little late, unlike at the inn in the Christmas story, no one will be turned away.  All activities at the event are free.  For more information contact MUMC at 860-673-2111 or Ann at 860-810-3938
