Local Vietnam War Veteran Talk: The Vietnam Jungle War, 1968

Join us on Saturday, October 12, 2013 @ 1:00 pm as Bob Skeels presents a personal account of the DMZ Vietnam jungle war in 1968.  Skeels, a lieutenant in the Marine Corps, served as an infantry rifle platoon leader and tank platoon leader in Vietnam.   Skeels is a long-time resident of Simsbury and a member of VFW Post 3272 in Avon.   This program is part of a series of exhibits, talk, and films to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, sponsored by VFW Post 3272 and the Avon Public Library.  Free and open to the public, no registration required.  Students and families welcome. Questions?  Call the Avon Library @ 860-673-9712 or www.avonctlibrary.info.  281 Country Club Road, Avon, CT 06001
