The Loomis Chaffee School to Host Special Olympics Northern Spring Time Trials, May 18th

For a first time, The Loomis Chaffee School will host the 2014 Special Olympics Connecticut Northern Spring Time Trials, presented by Hoffman Audi, on Sunday, May 18th. Over 900 athletes and Unified Sports® partners are expected to participate and compete in track & field and aquatics. The event will be supported by 228 coaches and over 600 volunteers. In addition to competition, an Olympic Town area will offer participants and spectators entertaining, educational and interactive activities to enjoy throughout the day. Opening ceremonies, to include the ceremonial lighting of the Special Olympics “Flame of Hope,” will take place at 8:30 a.m., and competition and award presentations will continue to 5:30 p.m. All are invited to come out and cheer on the athletes and share in the joy and spirit of the games.
