George DeVita, Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional at the Farmington Woods Golf Club has been given the 2014 Youth Player Development Award by the Connecticut section of the Professional Golfers’ Association of American (PGA).  Through his program, Golf in Schools, developed with golf legend Suzy Whaley, and his leadership in the area of junior golf, he was deemed to reflect the qualities and ideals of those who work with our nation’s youth, providing opportunities and experiences for juniors to learn and play golf.

“I come from a golfing family,” said George, “and I am dedicated to seeing that the game of golf excites and motivates new generations of players in the same way it did for me.”
