In our research for missing dogs, we have come across many situations where the dog is not on the run but living with someone who found the lost dog. We believe this could be the situation with Zoey. It's been a couple of weeks since the last sighting. We believe someone may have found Zoey and taken her in and now has her as part of their family. There are many reasons why someone would keep a "stray" dog. They many think she's really just a stray and not someone's pet. People are not aware they should contact their ACO.
If you have noticed a friend or neighbor has a "new" dog or meet someone with a "new dog" and can't tell you where they got the dog, it may be Zoey. Don't confront this person yourself. Call your local police, your local Animal Control Officer or 860-716-3370 with this information. They may not realize we are looking for her.
Please be aware and DO NOT CONFRONT THEM YOURSELF!! Thank you very much for your help. When you are out and about riding/walking on the trails, keep a lookout for our Zoey. She probably won't be out in the heat of the day. She will most likely be out at dusk and dawn. Thank you.
