Gifts of Love will host its annual benefit – The Fire & Ice Masquerade Gala - on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. at The Farmington Gardens on Route 4 in Farmington. This year’s celebration will feature a sizzling and sparkling Fire & Ice theme teamed with a “Masquerade”. The purpose of the masquerade is to help “unmask the hidden need” of basic supplies, including food, clothes, furniture and housewares, for area families experiencing temporary financial crisis. Last year, over 13,000 people throughout 30 Connecticut towns benefited from Gifts of Love of which approximately 25% lived in the Farmington Valley.
The Fire & Ice Masquerade Gala in cooperation with its Diamond Sponsor, The Shoppes at Farmington Valley, is Gifts of Love’s major fundraising event for the year. Our Gold sponsor, Farmington Gardens, will provide our stunning new venue for the event. A variety of local businesses have provided support, including signature sponsors Mitchell Subaru, Brescia’s Printing, E.N.E. Realty Associates, and The Hair Loft. The Gala will feature “Flavors of the Valley” food stations, an open bar, entertainment, and lots of dancing to D.J. Andre Balazs, a Connecticut-based musician. Balazs is known for his stylistic diversity, which combines jazz, folk, rock, blues, world music and classical influences.
Live and silent auctions will be conducted featuring fabulous gifts such as a $500 shopping spree at The Shoppes at Farmington Valley. This year, we have a new “Confectionary Silent Auction” for the chance to bid on and win one-of-a-kind cakes. Tickets are $100 per person and available at https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/giftsoflovect.
