Avon Boy Scout Troop 274 hosts Can & Bottle Drive, Christmas Tree Sale

AVON - Redeemable cans and bottles piling up? Please donate them to Avon Boy Scout Troop 274's quarterly can and bottle drive on Saturday, December 7th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at J.Foster Ice Cream shop, on Route 44 next to Fresh Market.
J.Foster is once again home to Troop 274's Balsam Fir Forest. After dropping off your cans and bottles, why not pick out a lovely, fragrant Christmas tree or wreath? The Balsam Firs are 6 feet to 9 feet tall and sell
for $46 to $86. Wreaths are available in a 16-inch size for $18 or a 20-inch size for $22. Trees and wreaths can be purchased starting the week of Thanksgiving through the month of December, while supplies last. Come
on over and tag yours - and roast a marshmallow over the fire!
Proceeds from both events will benefit the 2014 High Adventure scout contingents to Florida Sea Base and South Dakota.
Boy Scout Troop 274 has over 70 active scouts. The troop carries out many service projects in the community including displaying over 200 American Flags on Route 44 several times a year. The troop is
proud to be active in the local community and elsewhere.
Thank you for supporting your local Boy Scout Troop through these two fundraisers.     For more information, please contact Frank Campanelli at 860-250-4560 or Maria at 860-675-6030.
