The Meat House Hosts Toy Drive for CCMC Patients

Want to help? Here's how!

The Meat House is hosting a toy drive for patients at Connecticut Children's Medical Center joining statewide efforts to bring joy to them around the holidays.

Unwrapped gifts for the children can be dropped off in a giant present box at the front of the store.

"We never say no when it comes to giving a donation," General Manager Matt Cormier said. "It's just part of being a locally-owned company. We feel it's extremely important to give back to the community, so every season we try to do something for a local charity."

A list of suggested items to donate is available on the Connecticut Children's Medical Center website.

The Avon butcher and specialty grocer routinely gives back to the community, supporting many charities including Gifts of Love in Avon, Avon Dollars for Scholars, SPCA of CT, Capitol Region Education Council schools and Vie for Kids through Connecticut Children's Medical Center this year alone.

The store also sponsors local sports teams and programs from Avon, Canton and Simsbury like Avon Little League, Canton Little League, lacrosse and football programs in Avon and hockey in Farmington.
