Avon Volunteer Fire and Avon Police Departments Plan 3rd Annual "Battle of the Badges" Blood Drive

For members of the Avon Volunteer Fire Department and Avon Police Department, saving lives comes with the territory and opportunities to help people arise every day.  Luckily, first responders aren’t the only people who can save lives – by donating a pint of blood to the American Red Cross, just about anyone can help.

On Friday, April 6, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., the Avon Police and Volunteer Fire Departments are hosting a “Battle of the Badges” blood drive – a friendly competition to see which Department can bring in the most donors – at Avon Volunteer Fire Department Company 1, 25 Darling Drive.

Appointments can be made at www.redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).  Walk-ins are always welcome.
