Guiding Eyes for the Blind Open House

“Summer is drawing to a close and if you’ve been thinking about starting a new Fall project that gives back to the community, we have an opportunity for you!  Guiding Eyes for the Blind is looking for volunteers to give their heart and home to raising an adorable future guide dog puppy.  The Northern CT Puppy Raising region is hosting an Open House on Monday, August 20th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Avon Congregational Church, 6 W Main St, Avon, CT.  Join us to meet some of our raisers and pups on program - and to learn how you, too, can raise a puppy with a purpose and give a great gift to someone in need.  Our dedicated volunteers receive weekly training and free vet care.

Puppy Raising classes in the Northern CT region are held on Monday evenings in Avon and Granby.  For more information, visit our website at www.guidingeyes.org or call Regional Manager Maureen Hollis at (845) 490-0143 or volunteer Lillian Busse at (860) 866-7426. Do something extraordinary this year – raise a puppy, change a life!”
