Miller Foods to host event for K-9 officers, search & rescue groups

AVON – The Thanksgiving tent at Miller Foods is the site of several “Thanks for Giving” events the family-run business is hosting this year to show appreciation to community organizations. On Sunday, Nov. 13 from 12:30-4:30 p.m., police K-9 police officers and search and rescue groups are invited to an interactive event that will include canine demonstrations, a pet food drive benefiting Our Companions animal sanctuary, and a forum on raw pet food. Officer Rob Johnson of the Manchester Police Department will facilitate the event. According to Johnson, his dogs perform better on a diet of Oma’s Pride and O’Paws treats, both distributed by Miller Foods.
