Gifts of Love has been selected as one of the benefitting organizations for the upcoming Dave Matthews concert in Hartford.
If you are one of the hundreds of locals planning on attending June 7, Gifts of Love asks you to consider bringing a food donation for its pantry. The Avon non-profit provides food for families struggling financially and also fills backpacks with food for local students on free and reduced lunch for its Weekend Backpack Program.
Gifts of Love needs non-perishables, snacks, pasta, cereals, and canned fruits and vegetables in particular, organization spokesperson Carolyn McGrattan said.
The concert is at Comcast Theater at 61 Savitt Way in Hartford.
