Heads, Mustaches, Eyebrows Shaved in Avon at St. Baldrick's Cancer Research Fundraiser

Volunteers, including many Avon Volunteer Fire Department members, raised over $20,000 for childhood cancer research at the Lyme Grill event.

Volunteers spent their Saturday afternoon at the Lyme Grill in Avon shaving their heads, mustaches, or eyebrows to raise money for St. Baldrick's child cancer research foundation.

Many from the Avon Volunteer Fire Department participated, as did Simsbury Patch Local Editor Jeff Brush, who produced this video. 

The Charter Oak Fools team raised over $20,000.
