Pasta Supper Benefits Avon and Farmington Fuel Banks

Free will donations are accepted for a pasta supper that benefits the local fuel bank.

Avon's fuel bank provides heating assistance to 35 families per year, at a cost of $12,500, according to an event post from Ann Jurkiewicz. In 2012, Farmington Town Social Services supplied more than 2,500 gallons of heating fuel to more than 72 households.

A pasta supper to benefit the fuel banks will take place at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Memorial United Methodist Church, 867 West Avon Rd., Avon.

Cost to attend is a free will donation. The menu includes pasta with sauce, bread, salad, beverages and homemade desserts.
