Halloween Candy Buyback in Avon
All Hallow's Eve is behind us but the candy may remain for much longer! Here's info on how to offload extra candy for a cause.
Dentist Mitchell S. Katz's office is collecting Halloween candy as part of a Halloween candy buyback program.
Children will receive $2 for every pound of candy given, up to 5 lbs., according to Katz's website. The buyback will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at 111 Simsbury Rd.
The donated candy will benefit Operation Gratitude and will be sent to troops serving overseas. All candy donations are welcome, including leftover candy not handed out.
