The Open House, hosted by the Admissions Office and Athletic Director Sue Cabot, will be held in KO’s Chase · Tallwood building. Prospective middle and upper school students will have the chance to meet with coaches and players from the 26 different sports offered at the independent school located just steps from West Hartford Center.

Dr. Cosgriff, who is known as “Joey,” grew up in West Hartford and graduated from KO in 1990. She is a member of the inaugural class of KO’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

After Harvard, where she was Academic All-Ivy and won the Mary Paget award for contributing the most to Harvard athletics, she graduated from UConn Medical School. She also holds a Master's in public health from Yale. She is now a pulmonologist and critical care specialist in Waterbury.

KO had one of its best admissions seasons in recent history last year, enrolling 125 new students from 38 different towns in September 2012; total enrollment is now 500 students from more than 50 towns in grades 6-12.

Families who cannot attend the Athletics Open House but wish to learn more about sports at KO or the school in general are invited to contact the Admissions Office (admissions@k-o.org or 860-727-5000) for a tour and interview.

For more than 100 years, Kingswood Oxford -- an independent, co-ed, college prep day school in West Hartford for grades 6-12 – has inspired students to excel and to lead lives of integrity and involvement by nourishing their talents in a community of teachers, friends and families.
