Avon Fire Department Calls: Severe Weather Natural Disaster Response

There were no fires in Avon over the past week, however the did respond to three hazardous condition incidents and one severe weather and natural disaster emergency, according to its new calls log posted on avonvfd.org/calls.
According to the fire department's website, a severe weather and natural disaster emergency is defined as:
"Responses related to lightning strike, severe weather, or natural disaster. Also includes assessment of such incidents and station standby for coverage in anticipation of severe weather."
