DUI
Kevin R. Soucy, 20, of 99 Calumet St. in Boston, MA, was charged with driving under the influence with implied consent to test refuse on Aug. 19 at 3:05 a.m. arrested him at the intersection of West Main Street and Climax Road and also cited him with failure to drive in the proper lane and failure to have tail lamps or having an unlit marker plate. Police released him on a $500 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.

Thomas M. Burke, 58, of 28 Reverknolls in Avon, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Aug. 18 at 5:51 p.m. Police released him after he posted a $5,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.
Louis Enrique Pinel-Zelaya, 20, of 43 Chevas Rd. in Avon, was charged with second-degree failure to appear on Aug. 18 at 8:47 a.m. Police released him after he posted a $2,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.
Operation While Under the Influence
Jacqueline Ariel Tolpin, 21, of 259 Main St. in Winsted, was charged with operation while under the influence on Aug. 18 at 3:22 a.m. Police arrested her at 51 Anivil Dr. She released her after she posted a $500 non-surety bond. Tolpin is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 29.
Animal Cruelty
Carol Squier, 51, of 103 Fiddlehead Way in Canton, was charged with cruelty to animals on Aug. 16 at 11:50 a.m. Police arrested her at 54 West Avon Rd. She was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a written promise to appear in court on Aug. 29.
