Avon Police Blotter: Aug. 9 to Aug. 14, 2012

The following arrest information was provided by the Avon Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.

Operation While Under the Influence

Richard A. Dichillo, 34, of 28 Whispering Pines in Avon, was charged with operation while under the influence on Aug. 9 at 4:49 p.m. Police arrested him at 21 West Main St. and also cited him with failure to drive in the proper lane, an infraction. He posted a $500 non-surety bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22.

Disorderly Conduct

Devlyn Voyer, 21, of 1044 Boston Neck Rd., Naraganset, RI, was charged with disorderly conduct, sixth-degree larceny and using or tampering with a motor vehicle without permission on Aug. 13 at 7:42 p.m. She was held in police company on a $10,000 bond after being arrested at the Groton City Police Department on an outstanding warrant. She was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14.

Risk of Injury or Impairing the Morals of a Child

John Richard Lord, 42, of 132 Forge Dr. in Avon, was charged with third-degree assault and risk of injury or impairing the morals of children on Aug. 13 at 1 p.m. Police released Lord after he posted a $5,000 surety bond and he was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 14.

Forgery

Jason W. Tessman, 27, of 47 Hubbard St. in Meriden was charged with 36 counts of second-degree forgery, 46 counts of illegal use of a credit card and third-degree larceny on Aug. 13 at 7:20 a.m. Police held him in custody on a $25,000 bond and he was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 13.

Threatening

Roger L. Collins, 68, of 311 Scott Rd. in Terryville, was charged with second-degree threatening on Aug. 12 at 10:20 p.m. He was arrested at his home in Terryville and released after he posted a $1,000 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22.

Possession of Hallucinogen or Marijuana

Justin Elwell, 18, of 18 Brook View Ln. in West Bath, ME, was charged with possession of a hallucinogen or greater than four ounces of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana, possession or use of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and simple trespass on Aug. 12 at 4:27 p.m. Police arrested him on the Avon Water Company property. Police released him after he posted a $1,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22.

Breach of Peace

Charles Christopher Sweeney, 21, of 124 North Gate in Avon, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree threatening and use of highways by pedestrians on Aug. 10 at 8:04 p.m. Police released him on a $5,000 surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22.
