Identity Theft
Sharlise Almeida, 25, of 66 Third Ave. Ext., West Haven, was charged with second-degree false statement and third-degree identity theft on Feb. 12 at 9:57 a.m. She turned herself in to Avon police on an arrest warrant. Police released her on a $1,000 non-surety bond and she is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27.
Larceny

Robert Thompson Johnson, 57, 6 Foxcroft Run, Avon, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Feb. 10 at 12:06 p.m. Police arrested him in Walmart Plaza at 255 West Main Street. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Feb. 20.
