Avon Police Call Armed Robbery of Residents an 'Isolated Incident'

No arrests as of yet in Tuesday night incident.

Avon Police are still seeking two suspects who forced their way into a Jackson Street home Tuesday night and robbed the residents at gunpoint but are saying the incident was an 'isolated' one.

"The suspects have not been caught at this time," Lt. Kelly Walsh said Thursday morning. "This is an ongoing active investigation. I can assure you this is an isolated incident."

Shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, a resident of the Jackson Street home called 911 to report that two masked men, dressed in black had forced their way into the home. The suspects ordered the three occupants to the ground and demanded money, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Avon Detective Unit at 860-409-4200. Detectives are following up on the case, police added.
