Car Strikes Minivan on Country Club Road, Injuring Passenger

Avon police say the minivan crossed into the path of the other vehicle.

The Honda Odyssey carrying the passenger who was injured in a Wednesday morning two-car crash in Avon was struck by another car when it reached Country Club Road.

The minivan, which came from Burnham Road, crossed traffic on Country Club on Jan. 8 around 9:35 a.m. into the path of another car on the road heading west. The other car collided with the right side of the van.

The passenger in the van was seriously injured, according to The Hartford Courant. She was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford for treatment.

Police have not released the name of the injured party or the others involved in the accident at this time.

The Hartford Courant reported Wednesday that the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad also responded to the scene.
