Danscapes Owner Arrested on Charges of Sexually Assaulting Minor Female Student

Jefferey Sepa is facing a $50,000 bond.

Jeffery David Sepa, the owner of Danscapes dance and music school, has been arrested on a warrant on charges of sexually assaulting a longtime female student who had been teaching at the studio, Farmington police said Wednesday.

Sepa, 43, of 142 Oakland St., Bristol, runs the studio at 24 Spring Lane in Farmington with his wife. Police said they began their investigation in early February 2011 after learning the victim, a minor, had confided to friends that she had a sexual relationship with Sepa. The victim had been one of Sepa’s students for about 11 years.

Sepa is charged with two counts of sexual assault in the second degree under a state criminal statute forbidding coaches or long-term instructors from engaging in sexual intercourse with minor students.
