Avon Police dispatch received the call at 9:06 a.m.

Update 11:33 a.m.

A dump truck driving on West Hills Drive ran over a piece of debris or an object near a development off the road, causing one of its tanks to puncture and fuel to spill out onto the ground Saturday morning.

According to Avon Fire Department Chief Michael Trick, firefighters responded shortly after 9 a.m. to address the spill. The fire department also called in the state Department of Environmental and Energy Protection, which is on scene today cleaning the mess up.

No one was injured. The road has since been re-opened.
