Police Blotter for Aug. 4-6, 2011

The following police blotter information was provided by the Avon Police Department Records Division and does not indicate convictions.

Operation While Under the Influence

Salvatore Joseph Spagna, 27, 55 Columbus Blvd., Apt. U7, Southington, was charged with operation of a vehicle while under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane at the intersection of Lovely St. and Chevas Rd. on Aug. 6 at 1:57 p.m. Police released him on a $500 non-surety bond. Spagna is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on Aug. 17.

Larceny

Mindy Joy Rubin, 57, 30 Old Farms Crossing NA, Avon, was charged with sixth-degree larceny on Aug. 5 at 4:55 p.m. Police arrested her at 255 West Main St., which is the same plaza where Big Y, Walmart and TD Bank are located. She was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court on Aug. 17.

Mutilated/Removed Motor Vehicle ID Number

Frederick T. Glory, 43, 16 Glacier Way, Bourndale, MA, was cited for improper use of marker, license or registration and having a mutilated or removed motor vehicle identification number on Aug. 5 at 8:04 a.m. Police gave Glory a written summons and he is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.

Maziar Amini, 29, 10708 31st Street, Elmherst, NY, was cited for having a mutilated or removed motor vehicle identification number on Aug. 4 at 12:38 p.m. Police gave Amini a written summons. Amini is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.
