[Updated, 11:30 a.m.] Two Men Who Robbed Avon Home at Gunpoint Are Still at Large

The incident happened about 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday.

Late Wednesday morning, Avon Police were still seeking two men who forced their way into an Avon home and robbed the residents at gunpoint on Tuesday night.

Police said they received a 911 call at about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday from residents of 27 Jackson St. The three occupants of the single-family home said that two men dressed in all black and wearing masks forced their way in and ordered them to the ground, demanding money.

The residents complied, police said, and the suspects fled on foot. A state police dog was brought in and picked up a trail but lost it on a street nearby, according to police radio reports.
