Silver Alert: Avon Resident Shanequa-Lyn Rock, 16, Reported Missing

Avon police announced Saturday afternoon that a Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Avon 16-year-old.

Shanequa-Lyn Rock was "discovered missing" around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, police said in a press release.

According to police, she used her ATM card in West Hartford around 3:28 a.m.

Rock, a white female, is about 5' 3" and weights 210 pounds. Police said she has blue eyes, a light complexion and short, red or auburn hair. She might be wearing a black jacket and black/white boots and carrying a green duffel bag, police said.

The 16-year-old "left the residence without her necessary medication," the release stated.
