Two More Burglary Arrests in Avon This Week

The following arrest information was provided by the Avon Police Department and does not indicate convictions.

Two arrests were made Thursday at 10 a.m. that may be connected with two burglary arrests from Aug. 8.

A juvenile was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny. The individual was held at the police department and was scheduled to appear in juvenile court in Hartford on Aug. 12. The incident number for the arrest on the police report was the same as a Monday arrest with the same charges in connection with a burglary on East Woodhaven Drive.

Police also arrested a juvenile Thursday on charges of third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny. The individual was held at the department and scheduled to appear in court that same day.  The incident number for the arrest matches a Monday arrest on similar charges connected to a reported burglary on Sylvan Street.

Information about the nature of the reported burglaries, as well as possible items stolen and property damaged have not been disclosed at this time because the cases are still open.

It also is unclear at this time if the incidents are connected and how many people the four arrests involve.

The police department does not release the names and ages of juveniles arrested.

The two streets are just under three miles apart, based on a mapquest.com search.

Editor's Note: One of the burglaries was actually at East Woodhaven Drive, not Woodhaven Drive. East Woodhaven Drive is off of Woodhaven Drive. This error was made due to being given the wrong information, and the mistake has been corrected.
