Town Monitors Hurricane Sandy, Urges Avon Residents to Get CT Alerts

The following message from the town of Avon is posted at the top of the town website. For further updates as the storm progresses, you can also check http://www.town.avon.ct.us for more information.

The Town of Avon is monitoring the progress of Hurricane Sandy and is preparing to activate the Emergency Operations Center and/or Emergency Shelter at the Avon High School in the event that circumstances warrant such action. At this point, it is anticipated that the Storm may impact Connecticut late Monday or early Tuesday.
