Avon Town Manager Recommends $28.99 Million Budget for 2013-14

The Town Council will hold its annual budget workshop on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 a.m.

Avon Town Manager Brandon Robertson announced Tuesday that he is recommending a $28.99 million budget to the Town Council for the next fiscal year.

That amounts to a $856,738, or 3.05 percent, increase over last yar. The request excludes the school board's budget recommendation, but incorporates the town's operating, sewer, capital and debt service budget proposals.

While town departments requested a combined operating budget total of $22.4 million, Robertson reduced that by $1.55 million to put forward a $20.85 million operating budget request.
