Company Resubmits Plans for Lenox Road Development

Plans to build dozens of homes in Avon neighborhood has been revised.

Plans to build dozens of homes in an Avon neighborhood off Lenox Road have been scaled back and resubmitted to town officials for approval.

The plans were resubmitted by Sunlight Construction recently and have been revised since the developer withdrew the application in April, according to a Hartford Courant article. The new plans call for just 39 single-family homes, with no mention of condominiums. The plans are not yet finalized.

The original plan called for a mix of 57 houses and condominiums on a 44-acre parcel connecting to Haynes and Lenox Road. But residents raised vocal opposition to the project, citing concerns about traffic, quality of life and wetlands.
