Connecticut Magazine Ranks Avon Third in its Category

Connecticut Magazine's Rating the Towns 2011 rankings are in and Avon is listed as the third best town in the category of towns with a population of 15,000 to 25,000 people.

According to Connecticut Magazine, the highest ranked towns typically have the best "educational test results" in the state, "the most robust local economies," "the greatest number of cultural and social amenities per capita" and the least amount of crime.

The magazine gave Avon five points for both education and economy, two for having low crime, three for leisure and 27 for cost.
