Don't Forget to Vote in Avon's Budget Referendum!

Avon taxpayers will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed $81.76 million budget for 2013-14 on Wednesday.

If the budget passes at referendum, it will require a 2.6 tax rate, or mill rate, increase over the present fiscal year.

The Board of Finance endorsed the budget at its annual workshop without asking for any reductions from what the Town Council and Board of Education proposed.

The polls at the Avon Senior Center community room open at 6 a.m. on May 15 and close at 8 p.m.

The Avon Senior Center is located at 635 West Avon Rd.
