First Company Governor's Horse Guards Rides from Avon to Granby

During a six-day training program, the horse guards passed through Avon and Simsbury before stopping at Salmon Brook Park in Granby.

The First Company Governor's Horse Guards took a ride through the Farmington Valley Tuesday during a six-day annual training event.

The guards passed through Avon and Simsbury on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail, making a stop at the before completing their trip to Salmon Brook Park in Granby where they will camp overnight.

The guards will camp at Salmon Brook Park overnight and return to Avon on Wednesday.
