The Board of Education approved $380,800-worth of reductions recommended by district administration Tuesday night to Superintendent Gary Mala's previous $50.8 million gross district budget proposal for fiscal year 2012-13.

The Board of Education will consider $380,800-worth of reductions Tuesday night to Superintendent Gary Mala's previous $50.8 million gross district budget proposal for fiscal year 2012-13.

Despite the second lowest budget referendum voter turnout in Avon history, 9.97 percent, the $78.72 combined town of Avon budget passed with 789 endorsing it and 404 opposing it.
