Avon Caps Perfect Season With Sweep at NCCC Boys Tennis Championships

Suffield captures team runner-up spot in seven-team tournament Thursday at Enfield High School.

Avon High School's boys tennis team entered Thursday's North Central Connecticut Conference championships with an undefeated record. By the time the tournament ended around 10 p.m., the Falcons had swept all seven final matches for a landslide team victory.

Suffield High School, boosted by a pair of runnerup finishes in doubles matches, captured the second-place team trophy.

Canton, Bolton, Granby, Windsor Locks/East Granby and host school Enfield also competed in the marathon tournament.
