The golf team opened the season with a 165-180 victory on its home course against Avon.
Alex Stekler led the way for Avon High School with a 39. Ryan Karbowicz shot a 45 and Justin Huffsmith and Matt Bergman each shot a 48.
Mike Thibodeau, from Ellington, was the medalist with a 38.
