Avon Spoils Enfield's Perfect Record With 59-35 Victory

Falcons jumped to a 24-8 halftime lead and never looked back.

Avon knew it was traveling into unfriendly turf Thursday night, taking on undefeated Enfield High School in a battle of NCCC rivals.

The Falcons quickly silenced the partisan Enfield crowd, permitting the Raiders just three points in the first quarter and eight in the first half, en route to a 59-35 victory.

Avon built a 24-8 halftime lead on the strength of nine points from Ryan Marioni, who finished with a game-high 24. The Falcons' defense held Enfield's top scorers, Paul Lima and Ra Preston, to a combined three points in the opening half.
