“Kickin’ it 4 Robby” Soccer Tournament

On Saturday, March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, the "Kickin’ it 4 Robby" soccer tournament will be held at Avon High School from 9 a.m.-12 noon. Sixteen teams will be competing. Avon High School Varsity Soccer Coach Patrick Mulligan is organizing the 4 v 4 indoor event.

Robby Brisco, a junior at Avon High School and a three year member of the AHS Boys’ soccer team, was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Please come out to help give Robby "Patrick for a day" Brisco a giant collective "hello" and to let him see all the good people pulling for him.

Anyone interested in playing can contact Coach Mulligan at pmulligan@avon.k12.ct.us or (860) 404-4770 for further information. Avon High School players, former players, and students will be given priority to form teams.

Everyone is welcome to come watch as the Avon High School "has-beens" will be trying to prove they still got it. Won't they be surprised! It is sure to be a lot of FUN!  The bigger the crowd the better. Robby plans on being there. Donations will be gladly accepted at the door, with proceeds benefiting the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Division of Hematology and Oncology and a sarcoma research not for profit organization.

For those unable to attend the tournament, checks payable to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Foundation can be sent to Patrick Mulligan, Avon Middle School, 375 West Avon Road, Avon, CT 06001.
