- The Avon High School Class of 2011 commencement ceremony is on June 21 at 5:30 p.m. on the football field, and gates open at 4 p.m. Be sure to get there early because parking spots will go quickly and Route 167 (West Avon Road) will be busy.
- Parents can expect Avon High School second semester report cards on June 27.
- All high school students should remove their belongings from their school and gym lockers by June 24. Any leftover items beyond that date are going to be donated to local charities.
- Avon schools summer programs are listed on the school district's website, http://www.avon.k12.ct.us/summerschool/.
- Monday is the last day of school for Pine Grove Elementary School kindergarten students. Tuesday is the last day for the rest of the Avon district. There is an early dismissal at Thompson Brook School Tuesday at 11:25 a.m. Avon Middle School will be dismissed at 10:45 a.m. that day. There will be a fourth-grade slideshow sendoff at Pine Grove Shool from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
