Forbes Highlights Avon's Strong School System, Affordable Housing

Sometimes the price of putting your kids in a good school system means moving to a town where you'll pay more for a house, Forbes observes in an Sept. 26 article.

The finance article, "Midwest Dominates 2013 Best Schools For Your Housing Buck" includes a map with suggestions of towns with good schools and affordable housing and guess which school system is highlighted? 

Mouse over the Northeast region and you'll see that Forbes highlighted Avon as to one of "the best school districts with home prices less than twice the regional median." The average home price in Avon is $335,300, which is the fifth highest of the 10 listed, according to the map. 

Avon was the only Connecticut town highlighted on the map.
